In perhaps one of the most whirlwind romances of the 21st century, Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson and pop singer Ariana Grande initially sparked engagement rumors earlier this month, only a few short weeks after news of the couple's relationship broke. Grande seemed to confirm her new betrothed status via Twitter June 11, while also flaunting a massive ring on THAT finger. Now, we have even further reason to believe that this duo is headed to the altar: Davidson himself spilled the deets.
While appearing on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night with Robert Pattinson, the 24-year-old comedian gushed about his relationship with Grande. But first, host Jimmy Fallon teased Davidson about his new beau.
"You know that you didn't have to get engaged to Ariana Grande to come on our show," Fallon joked.
Then, the moment we've all been waiting for-Davidson nonchalantly responded, "But I did, though," proving that this engagement is actually the real deal. Sharing in our excitement, fans in the studio cheered and celebratory music played in the background.
Fallon congratulated the future groom, saying how much he loves the couple. "I feel like I've won a contest," Davidson replied of snagging his fiancГ©e. "So sick."
Davidson also joked that since his relationship with Grande began, more fans have been approaching him. "Some dude goes up to me and says, 'Yo man, you gave me hope,'" he said. "I was like I didn't know I was that ugly."
All jokes aside, this pair truly seems in it to win it, with reports circulating that Grande wants a winter wonderland theme for the festivities. The "Dangerous Woman" singer also allegedly wants her older brother, Frankie (who recently shared his support of the couple), to walk her down the aisle.
